Mo Hausler

From his early days at Olympic through to working extensively with David Kosten, Mo Hausler has rapidly positioned himself as one of the freshest engineers, producers and mixers of this generation. Credits include Everything Everything, Bat For Lashes, Incognito, One Direction, HONNE and Josh Record.

Mo got his break after impressing on various pop vocal sessions such as All Saints ‘Studio 1’ and soon caught the eye of superstar producers David Kosten and Jim Abbiss, who subsequently put him forward for an in-house engineering role at Olympic. For the next three years he gained valuable experience and insight into indie rock productions, working closely with producers such as Stephen Street, Ethan Johns and Jim Abbiss on artists such as Babyshambles, Turin Brakes, Jack Penate and Snow Patrol.

Mo has established a long-term partnership with David Kosten. Together they have worked on a multitude of critically acclaimed releases from artists such as Everything Everything, Animal Kingdom, Morning Parade, Dog Is Dead, Gareth Malone, To Kill A King, Nick Mulvey, Bat For Lashes, Josh Record and Marina and the Diamonds. In addition Mo has mixed for Björk and engineered a variety of pop projects, including two albums for Mika, singles for Lily Allen and Pixie Lott. Mo also recorded and mixed the latest album for Progressive Rock legends, Procol Harum, released in mid-2017.

Incredibly versatile and adept at working across a multitude of musical genres and production styles, Mo has firmly established himself in the British Jazz-funk scene. Co-producing, recording and mixing albums for legendry acts such as Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Leon Ware and Chaka Khan, led to a studio share set up with Bluey (Incognito) in Hackney, East London. Additionally, Mo has recorded and mixed albums for Italian pop artist Gianna Nannini and jazz-funk master Mario Biondi, achieving four consecutive number one’s in the process. Mo has also been working extensively with British Jazz sensation Ashley Henry, co-producing and mixing his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Beautiful Vinyl Hunter.’
